Fundraising and
Donation Ideas |
1. Consider joining our family on an ongoing basis. Put a group
together to sponsor one of our children!
2. Join us in Usa River, Tanzania and meet our children! Volunteer
for a week, a month, whatever time you can afford! Remember, you
never know
what you’ve got to offer until you put it out there! Read our
Volunteer
Page for details and costs.
3. People really do like to help . . . especially a child and some
of
us love to be hosts! Have a home/group party! Bring 10-20, or more
people
together in your home or office, and we’d be happy to join you with
a power
point presentation and discussion about our children, their needs
and our
vision for long term self-sufficiency! Donations may be made in
advance or
at the event.
4. For small children/birthday parties, etc., have a penny drive, or
nickel drive, or whatever drive! Remember it costs TONS to ship
things to
Africa so please make it small, or, call us in advance. We can
provide
banners, posters, photos of the children and a “child-friendly”
story for
them to understand just how lucky they are in relation to other
parts of the
world. Our children would LOVE to hear from children here!
5. Follow our site, our blogs, for updates and new photos, and
please
tell your friends! The more exposure we garner, the greater our
opportunities!
6. Host a yard sale with proceeds going to Tumaini House!
7. Donate gently used, saleable belongings you know have a wish/need
for and we’ll sell it and donate the proceeds on your behalf.
8. Collect Canadian Tire money and donate it to us.
9. Donate your empty alcohol bottles for us to refund. Be especially
generous and do an empty run to all your friends’ houses and donate
the
proceeds.
10. Stay tuned to our website www.tuchifo.com for update on our
fundraising drives and support us.
